Social housing

In April 2025, Portland City Council adopted a resolution to explore social housing models.  Portland Housing Bureau is expected to deliver their recommendations in late summer 2026.

Inner Eastside for All

Portland Neighbors Welcome's Inner Eastside for All campaign envisions walkable, mixed-income neighborhoods by changing zoning to allow for mid-rise apartment buildings.

Public land bank

Metro regional government is studying how a coordinated land banking model could increase affordable housing development.
